Mission Statement
We want to ensure that our content development strategy is relevant
and that each resource that we assign is of value to users. To accomplish
this we need to do the following:
- find the best evidence that already exists
- appraise that evidence by using a 'levels of evidence' criteria
- identify the gaps in knowledge
- decide how to plug the gaps
- identify the unanswered questions
- develop original content to plug the gaps in the form of short
evidence-based summaries
Cancer is a huge topic area and provides a challenge in gathering
all the different types of knowledge together as well as organising
and managing it. To help in the task we are forming 'tumour groups'.
The first one will focus on Head and Neck cancer and members will
be asked to help decide which will be the most useful resources
from the existing evidence-base.
